Jennifer Lopez hints at music retirement: The American singer and actress, with a career spanning over four decades, dropped hints that her musical journey might be nearing its conclusion.
During a recent chat with ET, the multifaceted artist expressed uncertainty about her future in music after her upcoming album release.
Jennifer Lopez is just a few days away from releasing her 9th official studio album titled ‘This Is Me… Now‘ and according to her, the forthcoming album might be her last album, it will also be serving as her first in a decade.

She shared insights into the album’s creation process, revealing the diverse range of album covers designed to provide fans with timeless collectibles, the album will officially be out for public consumption on Feb.
However, she confessed, “We try to do stuff that’s very special for the fans and do collector’s items and things like that that they can have forever and ever. The truth is I don’t even know if I’ll ever make another album after this. It’s such the kind of quintessential kind of Jennifer Lopez J.Lo project and I really feel very fulfilled, so they really will be collector’s items at a certain point.” she said.
Surprising fans further, Lopez joked, “Don’t tell Benny [Medina] that that’s what I’m thinking — this might be my last album ever.”

‘This Is Me… Now,’ a sequel to her 2002 release ‘This Is Me… Then,’ symbolizes closure and new beginnings for the artist. While she doesn’t rule out future projects, Lopez emphasized pouring her heart and soul into this album.
“I feel like it’s the end of a kind of an era for me and the beginning of a new one, so I would never say never, but right now I feel like I really put my heart and soul into this and I’m very excited and it definitely took a lot out of me,” she added.
To complement the album’s launch, Jennifer Lopez is set to star in a movie inspired by her music, promising a unique blend of narrative, intimacy, and musical spectacle. ‘This Is Me… Now: A Love Story’ offers a fresh perspective on her publicized romantic journey.
