John Dumelo Demands Recount

Ghanaian actor and politician, John Dumelo who contested as the parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency disagrees with the results of Monday’s voting

Just as we announced earlier in our previous publication, John was defeated by the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s parliamentary candidate of the above-mentioned constituency, Mrs. Lydia Seyram Alhassan, wife of the late Emmanuel Boakye Agyarko.

NPP’s Lydia was declared as the winner of the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency after polling a total of 39,851 out of 77,604 total votes, while Dumelo who is standing on the ticket of the NDC managed to poll 37,778, the independent candidate got 108 votes while 595 ballots were rejected.

The Actor/Politician has written an official letter to the District Electoral officer to request a recount across the constituency due to several irregularities.
