John Dumelo loses Ayawaso West Wuogon seat to Lydia Alhassan

Mrs. Lydia Seyram Alhassan who is the incumbent Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon has defeated John Dumelo to retain her seat.

NPP’s Lydia was certified as the winner of the constituency after polling a total of 39,851 out of 77,604 total votes, while Dumelo who is standing on the ticket of the NDC managed to poll 37,778, the independent candidate got 108 votes while 595 ballots were rejected.

Lydia in a recent interview with TV3 talking about her victory, gave thanks to God for seeing her and her team through the victory process, Dedicating the award to his late husband, Emmanuel Boakye Agyarko as well.

She also took a time to speak and recommend John Dumelo for accepting the result in peace, says she will be working hand in hand with him to ensure that the Developmental projects that they both promised to their constituency comes to life.
