According to this juror, most of the jury wanted to find the Florida rapper, Jamell Demons, guilty of the 2018 murders of his fellow YNW Collective rappers, Christopher “Juvy” Thomas Jr. and Anthony “Sakchaser” Williams.

The juror points to one woman on the jury who was determined to let Demons go free, causing a lot of trouble in the jury room.

The mistrial was declared on July 22 by Broward County Circuit Judge John J. Murphy, and it surprised many given the strong evidence presented during the trial.

The allegations paint a picture of a chaotic jury room, with the woman allegedly convincing two other jurors to change their minds on the last day of deliberations. When asked about her actions, she reportedly lashed out at the questioning juror.

The former juror decided to speak up after hearing reports that Demons’s mother claimed the jury was deadlocked at 9-3 in favor of acquittal. However, the former juror insists that it was actually the opposite, with nine jurors believing Demons was guilty.

YNW Melly, known for his song “Murder On My Mind,” was arrested in February 2019 along with YNW Bortlen. He pleaded not guilty to two charges of first-degree murder and faced the possibility of the death penalty.

Despite the mistrial, the case is not over. Demons’s defense team and prosecutors have agreed to start jury selection for the second trial on October 2. The drama continues in the courtroom, with the troubling allegations of jury manipulation now in the spotlight.
