Kanye West, the multiple Grammy Award-winning American rapper, has reacted to the firms who are cutting relations with him, speaking in a new video about how happy he is after being dropped by Drink Champs and Balenciaga.

During a podcast interview with MIT research scientist Lex Fridman, Kanye West, who has legally changed his name to Ye, expressed his thoughts on the corporations’ recent cancellation of partnership ties.

According to Ye, while meeting up with George Farmer, who is the CEO of Parler, that was the very same day Balenciaga was working on taking off his imagery from their site whiles Drink Champs on the other hand, was pulling down his episodes, adding that that ‘This is the happiest day of my life’.

“There was a day where I was headed to Nashville to meet with George Farmer, who is the CEO of Parler, the day when we made the announcement,

“At that same day, Balenciaga was taking my imagery off of their site, and the Drink Champs [episode] was being taken down, and I said, ‘This is the happiest day of my life. I love cutting the grass low. People really wasn’t with you. They was part-time.’” Kanye said.

He also added that he hopes all the people he is currently having around are not people who are just trying to use him

Ye added: “I rather have people who are really with me and not people who are trying to use me.”

Kanye West has been on a tear lately, infuriating many organizations and fans with provocative statements, and several of them, like Def Jam and Chase Bank, aren’t holding back in terminating connections.

Kering, Balenciaga’s parent company, announced last week that the French fashion label will no longer cooperate with Ye in the future and will end any present collaborations. Which we reported here.

During Kanye’s three-and-a-half-hour Drink Champs interview, he made some questionable statements. In addition to labeling Diddy and Meek Mill “fake hard n-ggas,” Kanye went on a diatribe against “the Jewish people,” implying that George Floyd was killed by fentanyl rather than ex-cop Derek Chauvin kneeling on his neck for over nine minutes.

N.O.R.E. spoke on both Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning and iHeart Radio’s The Breakfast Club to discuss the consequences from the interview, which he termed a “learning experience.”

He apologized to “anyone who was wounded by Kanye’s words and behavior” and “anyone who felt like I let them down” in both interviews.
