Kanye West has once again stirred public attention—and concern—after sharing unusual and deeply personal funeral plans on social media.
The 47-year-old rapper, also known as Ye, posted a series of messages on X (formerly Twitter), outlining how he wants his funeral to unfold. His posts quickly went viral, prompting fans to express confusion, sadness, and worry for the artist’s mental well-being.
In one message, Kanye wrote:
“My funeral needs to be at least a week long. A 10 hour service every day so people can speak aaaall the way through. It actually needs to be nooo limit. Embalm me. Put me on display at my mama’s house and let people visit me. Charge people to come in and use the money to enrich all the blocks around.”
He followed up with another post stating,
“Funerals should be where [people] can talk as long as they want but also [people] can leave when they want.”
Perhaps most concerning was a cryptic message that hinted at threats on his life:
“Why do [people] be calling you to kill you. I be like it doesn’t work that way.”
These messages come after a string of controversial posts by West in recent weeks, targeting his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and music icons Jay-Z and Beyoncé. The tone and content of his posts have raised alarms among fans and followers.
