Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, and Prince William made their first public appearance together on October 10, following Kate’s completion of chemotherapy.
The couple visited Southport, UK, to pay their respects to a community mourning the tragic loss of three young girls—Alice Dasilva Aguiar, 9, Elsie Dot Stancombe, 7, and Bebe King, 6—who were fatally stabbed at a Taylor Swift-themed event in July.
Dressed in a red and white polka dot dress and a long brown coat, Kate, along with William in a gray tweed jacket and maroon sweater, met with emergency responders and families affected by the horrific attack.
They emphasized that the tragedy had not been forgotten, despite the delay in their visit, according to ITV News reporter Chris Ship.
During their visit, the royals shared heartfelt conversations with families of the victims and recognized the efforts of those who aided in the aftermath of the incident.
Their presence served as a symbol of support for a community still grappling with the aftermath of the violence.

Kate’s return to royal duties marks a significant milestone in her health journey. On September 9, she announced the completion of her chemotherapy treatment for an unspecified form of cancer, expressing hope for a gradual return to public engagements.
“I must continue to take each day as it comes,” she noted, emphasizing her commitment to staying cancer-free.
The couple’s visit also comes on the heels of King Charles III’s own trip to Southport, where he offered support to those affected by the tragedy while also providing a rare health update amid his own cancer treatment.
As the royal family continues to navigate personal challenges and public responsibilities, Kate’s resilience and dedication to her duties remain evident.
