Kentucky Couple Held on $75,000 Bond for Child Sex Charges

Authorities in Kentucky have charged a couple with serious crimes involving a minor under the age of 12. Kevin John Taylor, 43, and Michelle Taylor, 38, were taken into custody by the Bullitt County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday.

A grand jury indictment followed the next day, and both are being held on $75,000 bonds, as reported by local media.

The investigation began when an employee at Kevin Taylor’s business discovered concerning images on his work phone. On March 11, the employee handed the phone to Michelle Taylor, informing her about the content. However, rather than notifying law enforcement, Michelle reportedly returned the phone to her husband.

Detectives later interviewed Michelle Taylor on March 12. She disclosed that she no longer had the phone and admitted to giving it back to Kevin Taylor. During this time, law enforcement also spoke to the alleged victim, who shared information that added gravity to the case.

Kevin Taylor now faces multiple charges, including sexual abuse of a child under 12, possession of explicit images involving minors, and tampering with evidence. Michelle Taylor is charged with tampering with evidence, failure to report suspected child abuse, and distribution of explicit material.

The Taylors were arraigned on Wednesday, and their next court appearance is scheduled for Monday. As the legal process unfolds, the case underscores the critical importance of immediate action and reporting in situations involving vulnerable individuals.
