She died on Sunday, after a brave four-year battle with a brain tumor.

Abbie’s life story has been marked by heartache and resilience. In July 1994, when she was only a few hours old, Abbie was taken from Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham by Julie Kelley, a woman posing as a nurse.

The shocking abduction sent her parents, Karen and Roger, into a frantic search for their newborn daughter. For 16 agonizing days, they combed through leads, desperate to find their child.
