Reality star Kim Kardashian is preparing to testify in the ongoing trial of a gang accused of orchestrating her terrifying 2016 robbery in Paris.
The heist, which took place during Paris Fashion Week, involved armed robbers breaking into Kardashian’s rented apartment, where they bound and gagged her at gunpoint before stealing an estimated $10 million worth of jewelry.
The gang reportedly made off with a $4 million ring and other valuable items during the horrifying event. French authorities launched a five-year investigation before bringing the case to trial in 2021.
Now, nearly a decade after the incident, Kim will take the stand for the first time, recounting the traumatic experience before a jury of twelve individuals on trial.
While Kardashian has previously spoken about the ordeal to a judge, her upcoming testimony will mark the first time she addresses the terrifying moment in front of a jury.
In a 2017 Keeping Up With the Kardashians episode, she shared how the robbers threatened her with a gun and dragged her through the hallway of the apartment.

Kim recalled the terrifying decision she had to make in those moments: “I was like, ‘I have a split second in my mind to make this quick decision. Am I going to run down the stairs and either be shot in the back?'”
After managing to free herself from the plastic ties around her wrists, Kim screamed from the balcony for help, which eventually led to her escape.
The incident left an indelible mark on Kardashian, who told People in 2017, “I know this sounds crazy, but I know that was meant to happen to me.”
The robbery deeply impacted her perspective on materialism. “I was being flashy and I was definitely materialistic before,” she confessed. “But now, I don’t care about that stuff anymore. I’m so happy that my kids get this me.”
