Ghanaian singer, songwriter, and rapper, Kofi Kinaata has reacted to a recent comment made by renowned broadcaster KKD who said the whites are still in control of we the Africans because we are still bearing English names.
According to the well-known broadcaster, Kwasi Kyei Darkwa aka KKD, Africans are still being controlled by the Europeans because we as blacks fail to change the mentality of naming people with English names, saying that we must change that by using our indigenous Ghanaian names.

Speaking in a recent radio interview on Cape Coast-based Kastle FM, hosted by Amansan Krakye, Kofi disagreed with the points made by KKD by saying just by changing the English name into our indigenous Ghanaian names won’t be a solution to that concept of we being controlled by the whites.
Kofi Kinaata added that even the social media, we use in expressing our opinions, the microphones he uses in the radio station in broadcasting to his audience are even made by the same white people he is referring to, so it is not just about we changing the names.

With that being said Kofi added that KKD should have led by example by rather using the indigenous means in expressing his views instead of using things that were manufactured by the whites.
“Social media that the person used to air his views are for the whites. Even the microphone that he used in the radio studio to make the point was done by our slave masters,”
“He should have shouted or used a gongon beater” he said.
