CAF CL has called off the match between Ghana’s Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal after 11 team members of Kotoko tested positive for COVID-19.
The game was scheduled to come off today, Wednesday afternoon, January 6, 2021, but had to be called of the be authorities after test results came in saying that 7 members and 4 officials (two technical team members and two management members) of the Ghanaian-based club tested positive for COVD-19.
This was made known after the club made a post on their Twitter page to inform their fans why exactly the match will not be holding.
According to the statement released by Kotoko to announce what happened, they stated that the result was delivered by the officials of Al Hilal but suspiciously enough, and they have written an official complaint to the match commissioner as they believe that the coronavirus result has clearly been tampered with.

Asante Kotoko followed it up with another post saying that they are waiting for a decision from CAF regarding the overwhelming anomalies Association with their covid 19 results
