Just as we are still in shock following the explosion at Bogoso which occured on Thursday, Another one happened today, Friday involving a Fuel Tanker which exploded.
The news came in and started making rounds on social media as users shared photos and videos from the scene.
According to reports, the incident took place at around 3:00pm, Friday, January 21, 2022, at Kaase near Asokwa in Kumasi.

Kumasi Tanker Explosion: Ghana police has however reacted to the news in a Facebook post, and according to them, the explosion happened while a fuel tanker was discharging fuel to some tricycles at Kaase.
It was made clear in the post that no persons have been injured and no deaths were also recorded in the process.
The tanker driver as well as the rider of the tricycle involved have escaped the scene.
According to Ghana Police Service’s Facebook post, their team was on time at the scene to manage the situation as they are currently carrying out investigations into what actually caused the fire outbreak (explosion).

“Fuel Tanker Catches Fire at Kaase Near Asokwa in Kumasi.
“Today January 21, 2022, at about 3:00 pm a fuel tanker that was discharging fuel to some tricycles at Kaase caught fire.
“A few people are believed to have sustained some injuries. Thankfully, no persons have been reported dead.
“The tanker driver and the tricycle rider involved have escaped the scene.
“The police are at the scene to manage the situation.
“Meanwhile, we are investigating and full details will be given in due course.”
