Kwaku Manu: I will only campaign for a political party that pays me $1 billion

Townflex Entertainment News, Ghana – Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu remains firm in his decision to stay away from politics and refrain from campaigning for any political party.

In a recent interview with Graphic Showbiz, the actor clarified that although he has no interest in getting involved in politics at the moment, he would consider campaigning for a political party if they offered him a whopping $1 billion.

However, he made it clear that any amount less than that would not capture his attention.

As Ghana gears up for the upcoming general elections in December 2024, some celebrities have already started endorsing political parties and publicly declaring their allegiance. On the other hand, some celebrities prefer to keep their political preferences private and undisclosed.

Kwaku Manu, who casts his vote every four years, came up with the $1 billion payment structure because he knows that no political party would be able to afford such a colossal amount just for his campaign support.

He also believes that, as a celebrity, it is best to keep his political affiliations private rather than making them public.

“I am not bragging, but no amount of money can influence me to campaign for any political party, whether NPP or NDC. Unless they are willing to pay me over $1 billion, which I know they wouldn’t.”

“I vote every four years but I believe as a celebrity, it is good not to disclose the political party you support,” the actor said.
