Kweku Flick talks vgma 2022 snub

Ghanaian singer, and songwriter, Kweku Flick expresses his disappointment on VGMA’s board for not recruiting him in the 2022 edition of the awards.

Just as you know, the organizers of the annually held Vodafone Ghana Music awards released the full, and complete list of artistes, songs, and producers, for the upcoming 2022 edition on March 19th, 2022.

Well, a check through the complete list of nominees showed that there was one hardworking young Ghanaian musician missing, and that is Kweku Flick.

The singer has however gotten the platform to express his thoughts regarding the 2022 nominations list.

Kweku Flick who is born with his legal name as Andy Osei Sarfo spoke to Andy Dosty, the host of the Daybreak Hitz showbiz radio talk show which aires on Hitz FM.

The Money hitmaker gave shut to the organizers of the award, for not giving him a single nod in the list of nominations this year.

According to him, he filed for nominations alright but he wasn’t nominated.

He again added that unlike last year he had four nominations, Kweku’s last year, 2021 nominations included ‘Best New Artiste of the Year’, and the ‘Hip-Hop Song of the Year’ which he lost though.

He said;

“I will give a big shouts to VGMA for not giving me a nomination this year. I got four nominations last year. I got none this year.

“I filed for nomination this year but I wasn’t nominated. Well, I am not disappointed. I am cool though.”
