The couple, who have faced significant challenges in their relationship, are said to be hoping that the fresh start will help them rebuild their bond.

Walker, currently the captain of Manchester City and a key player for the England national team, is in advanced talks with Inter Milan over a potential loan move this month.

AC Milan is also said to have shown interest in the defender, making for an intriguing transfer battle.

The news comes after a tumultuous year for the couple, including Walker’s involvement in a scandal where he fathered a second child with ex-mistress Lauryn Goodman.

This led to Annie filing for divorce in August 2024, but despite the separation, sources close to the pair suggest that they have not fully given up on one another.

A source explained, “Neither of them knows what the future holds. But they’re hopeful that a move to Italy will give them the breathing space they desperately need to figure out if there’s anything left to salvage.”

The couple is reportedly seeking time away from the intense public pressure they’ve faced in England.

In addition to their personal troubles, the couple’s four children — Roman, 12, Riaan, 8, Reign, 6, and baby Rezon — will also be relocating to Italy as part of the move.

Despite Annie’s intention to press forward with the divorce, both she and Kyle are still open to the possibility of reconciliation.

This move comes on the heels of Walker’s request to leave Manchester City, which he made after being left out of the squad for the club’s FA Cup match against Salford City.

While Walker had been linked to a potential high-paying transfer to Saudi Arabia, sources suggest that the 93-cap England international hopes to continue his career with his national team and fears that such a move would end his international prospects.
