Actor Lance Reddick, known for his roles in John Wick and The Wire, passed away in Los Angeles on March 17, and his cause of death has been revealed.

Lance Reddick Cause OF Death: According to the death certificate obtained by TMZ, Reddick’s death was caused by Ischemic Heart Disease and Atherosclerotic Coronary Artery Disease, conditions that are commonly associated with plaque buildup in the arteries.

Ischemic Heart Disease, also known as hardening of the arteries, is a condition where the heart’s blood supply is restricted due to the narrowing of the arteries. Atherosclerotic Coronary Artery Disease, on the other hand, is characterized by plaque buildup in the coronary arteries that supply blood to the heart.

Despite the death certificate’s findings, Reddick’s lawyer James Hornstein has called the reports untrue, stating that they are inconsistent with his client’s lifestyle.

In a statement to People, Hornstein said, “Lance was the most physically fit person I’ve ever known. He exercised daily at his home gym, including extensive cardio work, and the availability of gym facilities was a contractual requirement for his work away from home. He ate as if a dietician was monitoring his every meal.”

Hornstein also emphasized that no autopsy was performed on Reddick and no medical examination during his lifetime indicated such conditions. “On behalf of Stephanie Reddick, the death certificate information is not corroborated and is inconsistent with the facts known to the family,” he added.

Reddick’s death came as a shock to his fans and the entertainment industry. The actor, who was 60 years old at the time of his passing, collapsed in his backyard in Studio City, and his wife Stephanie called for emergency services.

Reddick’s spokesperson confirmed that the actor died of natural causes but did not provide any further details.

Reddick’s legacy in the entertainment industry will undoubtedly live on, with his memorable performances in various films and TV shows, including John Wick: Chapter Four, which was in production at the time of his passing.

He is survived by his wife Stephanie Reddick and their two children, Yvonne Nicole Reddick and Christopher Reddick.
