Chelsea FC and England Women forward, Lauren James wants to have dinner with Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Burna Boy.
James, widely regarded as one of the most promising young female footballers globally, rose to prominence after her move from Manchester United Women to Chelsea Women in 2021.
She was part of the England Women’s squad that finished second at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
Burna Boy, on the other hand, is a globally renowned Nigerian singer, captivating audiences worldwide with his consistent string of chart-topping hits. His latest album, ‘I Told Them,’ has been breaking records and making waves on the global music scene.
The 22-year-old Chelsea star, Lauren James, gained notoriety in Nigeria due to an incident during the FIFA Women’s World Cup round of 16 clash between Nigeria and England, where she unintentionally made headlines for her involvement in a collision with Super Falcons defender, Michelle Alozie.
In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Lauren James shared her wish list of three people she would love to invite over for dinner.
Among them, she mentioned the interviewer, and American actor and comedian, Kevin Hart, citing his humor as a reason. Additionally, she expressed her desire to dine with the Nigerian musical sensation, Burna Boy, as her third choice.
James answered: “You [interviewer], Kevin Hart; he’s very funny. The third person would be probably a singer. I would probably say Burna Boy.”
