The Polish forward broke the previous record held by Marco Simone, who scored hat-trick in the opening 24 minutes of a game for AC Milan in 1993/94.
The Polish star registered his name on the scoresheet in the 12th mins via penalty to put his side up 1-0 on the night.
Lewandowski’s second goal also came from the penalty spot in the 21st minutes and later completed his hat-trick in the 23rd minute by taking advantage of a defensive error.
He is now the fastest hat-trick scorer ever in the competition after beating Marco Simone’s previous mark.
Thomas Muller (two), Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane got Bayern’s other goals. They advanced with an 8-2 aggregate win.
Lewandowski now has 12 goals in 2021-22 Champions League, one ahead of Ajax’s Sebastien Haller, who has enjoyed a stunning campaign so far.
