Other attendees included late-night host James Corden and One Direction co-creator Simon Cowell, who helped launch the band’s career on The X Factor.

The cause of Payne’s death was a tragic fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. According to a toxicology report released in early November, traces of alcohol, cocaine, and prescription antidepressants were found in his system.

Prosecutors have stated that there was no evidence of foul play, and that Payne may not have been fully conscious when he fell.

In the days following his death, it was reported that Payne had been displaying erratic behavior, particularly after Cassidy left their vacation in Argentina.
