Rapper Lil Durk to ‘Take a Break’ After Getting Hit With Pyrotechnic at Lollapalooza 2022

Lil Durk, an American rapper and singer, has declared that he would be treating his health more seriously and will be taking a vacation from musical engagements for the time being following an onstage incident at Lollapalooza.

The rapper was in the middle of singing his 2020 smash “Back In Blood” when he walked into two on-stage pyrotechnic smoke flares. Durk is seen on social media videos staggering and wiping his eyes with his shirt following the incident.

However, it appears that the terrible accident did have some long-term consequences for Durk.

On Sunday, the 29-year-old rapper posted a selfie of himself in the hospital with a bandage over his right eye.

Announcing his break, he took to his Instagram account and captioned a picture of him with a huge bandage, see his post below.

“Due to the incident that happened at Lollapalooza in Chicago on stage, I’ma take a break & focus on my health. I finished my performance yesterday for my fans. Appreciate y’all” he captioned his post.

Footage of the accident that’s since gone viral on social media shows Lil Durk walking across the stage before getting struck directly in the face by two pillars of smoke. He tried cleaning his face with his T-Shirt, as the music cuts off, watch the video below.
