Liverpool earned their best Premier League victory ever b defeating Bournemouth 9-0.

With their first victory of the year, Liverpool equaled the competition’s record for largest win and recorded the Reds’ biggest Premier League victory ever.

The appearance of newly promoted Bournemouth at Anfield couldn’t have come at a better time after the poorest league start since 2012.

There was only one alteration to the lineup from the beginning of the loss to Man United: James Milner was replaced in midfield by Fabinho.

Liverpool got off to the kind of intense start that was lacking at Old Trafford, scoring twice in the first six minutes.

In the third minute, Luis Diaz headed in a cross from Roberto Firmino to give the game its first goal.

Harvey Elliott then doubled the lead with a beautiful curling shot from the edge of the box.

Liverpool appeared to be playing with confidence, and it could have been three when Salah was set up for an open goal from five yards out by some great movement by Elliott, combining with Fabinho and then Firmino, but his stretched leg was unable to knock the ball in.

And the fourth goal came quickly, three minutes later, Firmino converting Salah’s deflected cross for Bobby’s first league goal at Anfield since December 2020!

Before the half, Van Dijk’s header into Robertson’s corner made it 5-0.

At halftime, the excellent Elliott was replaced by Fabio Carvalho, and a minute after the restart, Liverpool added a sixth goal.

Chris Mepham pushed Trent Alexander-wide Arnold’s cross into his own goal.

On the hour, Firmino scored his 100th goal for the team by converting Robertson’s right-handed inswinging cross.

It was currently Liverpool’s best home Premier League victory and joint-best Premier League victory.

With 20 minutes remaining, the scoreline permitted substitution, and Kostas Tsimikas and Stefan Bajcetic were added.

From there, the Kop began chanting ‘we want 10’ but it was to no avail.

Really, it should have been, and it was pretty amazing that this beating didn’t involve Salah, who squandered two excellent opportunities.

No big deal. At the final horn, Klopp was clearly ecstatic and taking part in the celebrations, but Parker appeared stunned. He won’t quickly forget this day.

Liverpool had to settle for claiming the joint-largest victory in Premier League history in the end. nine zero.
