Lordina Dramani Mahama’s Mother’s Day Message

By Stermy 2 Min Read

Mother’s Day is a celebration honoring the mother of the family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers and potential mothers in society.

It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the months of March or May, to celebrate mothers for their love, care, hard work, and dedication in naturing and caring for the young ones in their care.

In marking the day today, Sunday, May 9th, 2021, the wife of Ghana’s ex-president, John Dramani Mahama and the former first lady, Lordina Dramani Mahama takes some time off to celebrate all mothers out there by sharing some sweet and lovely message to honor them.

She wrote;

It is another opportunity to celebrate and honour our cherished mothers.

I celebrate the hardworking and selfless Matrons and Staff of orphanages across the country. They have dedicated their lives to nurturing and caring for the young ones in their care.

Let me also appreciate the female frontline workers who have fearlessly been at the forefront of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

I must also celebrate all single mothers, single fathers and guardians performing the role of mothers. Continue your good works and know that your hardwork will never go unrewarded.

God bless you all.
Happy Mothers Day!
