Louisiana Man Confesses to Injecting Mother with Meth and Beating Her to Death

A tragic tragedy has shook the community of Opelousas, Louisiana, as a man has been arrested for the murder of his own mother. Authorities announced that Aaron Lloyd, 33, was arrested after making a frightening confession about the killing of Lisa Lloyd, 65.

On Sunday, concerned neighbors on Park Circle made a shocking discovery, bringing the crime to light. Lisa Lloyd’s dead body was found placed inside a trash can underneath her carport. The finding prompted a quick investigation by the Opelousas Police Department.

In a Facebook statement, the police reported that a male caller had admitted to killing his own mother and concealing her body in a garbage bin. While they did not initially name the caller, it became evident that Aaron Lloyd was the individual behind the disturbing phone call.

Authorities located Aaron at a separate residence and brought him in for questioning. During the interview, police say he offered no resistance and confessed to the crime without hesitation.

According to investigators, Aaron admitted to injecting Lisa with methamphetamine, a powerful and dangerous stimulant. He then proceeded to beat her to death, further compounding the horror of the case.

Following his confession, Aaron Lloyd was formally charged with first-degree murder, aggravated second-degree battery, obstruction of justice, failure to seek assistance, and distribution of Schedule II drugs.

He has since been booked into St. Landry Parish Jail, where he remains behind bars. As of Tuesday afternoon, no bail had been set, and authorities confirmed that he is still in custody pending further legal proceedings.

Opelousas Police Chief Graig LeBlanc described the situation as “deeply tragic” and urged the public to keep the Lloyd family in their prayers. “This is a very sad case,” LeBlanc said. “We’re dealing with a son taking the life of his mother. The emotional toll is heavy on both the family and our community.”

In an interview with KADN, law enforcement representative Anderson echoed the chief’s sentiments. “Aaron Lloyd did admit to the crime,” he confirmed. “All we can do right now is support the family and pray for peace and healing.”

While the motive for the homicide has yet to be revealed, authorities have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are anticipated to probe deeper into Aaron Lloyd’s past and investigate potential contributing causes to such a heinous crime.
