The Croatian has signed a one-year contract extension with Real Madrid which will keep him at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu until June 30, 2023.

Modric who turn 37 years next September has been undisputed starter for Carlo Ancelotti and will still be handed that same role despite bringing in young players like Camavinga, Valverde and the likely arrival of Tchouameni to assist.
