The jersey number for Romelu Lukaku has been confirmed by English football giant, Chelsea.
It has been confirmed on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, by the Blues that their striker, Romelu Lukaku will be wearing the number nine (9) jersey for Chelsea this season.
As you all already know, just as we published earlier, that Chelsea has brought back their former player Lukaku, to re-join the team, he was bought at a fee of £97.5million.
Lukaku’s Jersey Number Revealed: Well, With Tammy Abraham’s departure to Roma, Lukaku has been confirmed to take over his jersey number which is the number 9 jersey.
Lukaku after joining Chelsea missed out in the previous game against Crystal Palace last Saturday, August 14th, after his return to the team because he had to follow the Covid-19 protocols and isolate himself for some period of time.
But Tuchel, Manager for Chelsea has however confirmed that the striker will be making the debut in the Arsenal match.
Lukaku started training with the club yesterday, Tuesday and now with him been offered the number nine jersey simply stamps the fact that he will make his debut in the next game against Arsenal scheduled to come off on Sunday, August 22, at 3:30pm.
The striker has however vowed to live up to the £97.5million fee Chelsea paid to buy him back to the team.
