Ghana’s former President, H.E John Dramani Mahama pours out his heart as he dishes out his deepest condolences to families who lost their dear ones in the Bogoso Explosion.
On Thursday afternoon, January, 20, 2022, Ghana was hit by a sad news, a very unexpected one as many people were reported dead and many hospitalized after a Tarkwa-bound truck carrying explosives for a mining company collided with a motorbike in Apiate.
Apiate is a suburb of gold-mining town Bogoso, which is located in the Western Region of Ghana.

Mahama mourns Bogoso Explosion: John Mahama took to his official social media pages to mourn and also express how saddened he is with the disaster which has rendered the town as inhabitable at the moment.
Mahama also prayer and wished for speedy recovery of those injured and are currently seeking medical attention (health care).
Mahama mourns Bogoso Explosion, in three paragraphs, he wrote:
“A truly sad day for Ghana!
My deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the unfortunate disaster at Appiatse, in the Bogoso District of the Western Region this afternoon.
“Let’s pray for the speedy recovery of the injured, as we also urge the security and emergency services to continue to work assiduously to alleviate the damage and suffering in the affected communities.
“To the chiefs and people in the affected areas, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the country stand with you, in this time of grief.”
