A Nigerian man has stirred intense reactions online after publicly declaring his decision to abandon God and seek help from satan. His heartbreaking revelation has left many social media users in shock and sparked a heated conversation about faith, frustration, and poverty.
The man, known on TikTok as @saintsteven3, shared a now-viral video where he opened up about his struggles and why he decided to change spiritual direction. According to him, he has faithfully served God for 43 years, yet remains in poverty with no house, car, or basic comfort to show for it.
In the video, he was seen in what appeared to be a shrine-like location, surrounded by symbolic items. His facial expression was one of disappointment and desperation, signaling a breaking point in his life journey. He said his continued suffering made him question the value of his long-time devotion to God.
“I gave God 43 years of my life and I still dey beg for food, no car, no house,” he said in the video.
“I think it’s time to give satan a chance in my life. I wan check something.”
The video immediately went viral and gathered thousands of comments from TikTok users, some expressing concern, others offering advice, and many criticizing his drastic decision.
One user, @Ask of pin pop, pointed out, “You gave God 43 years of your life and He kept you alive. Do you know how many people die before 43?” This comment highlights the view that life itself is a gift, regardless of material possessions.
Another user, @Somadina, encouraged him to focus on self-development: “You give am 43, wetin do 44? God gave you talent, my brother. Heaven helps those who help themselves. Work on yourself, bro.”
Others were more skeptical of his new direction. @Tè warned, “And you think satan will give you something without collecting something back in return? Please stick with God.”
User @Austine added a spiritual perspective, saying, “E get as you go take beg God, He go say ‘my son, come and rest; you have tried a lot on earth.’”
Meanwhile, @mhiz Sarah believed there was more to the story: “God never fails. There’s something you are not doing right. You can’t be serving God and doing nothing. Work and serve. God will be enough because He will.”
