Man Accused of Stabbing 3 Girls at Southport Dance Class Pleads Not Guilty

In a shocking court appearance, Axel Rudakubana, 18, pleaded not guilty to the murders of three young girls at a Taylor Swift-themed yoga and dance class in Southport, England.

The fatal attack occurred on July 29, just as the girls were beginning their summer vacation from school.

Rudakubana, who is being held in a London prison, appeared via video link at Liverpool Crown Court on December 18.

During the hearing, he remained silent, refusing to speak, and only nodded his head occasionally. He faces three counts of murder for the deaths of 7-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe, 9-year-old Alice da Silva Aguiar, and 8-year-old Bebe King.

In addition to the murder charges, he is accused of attempting to kill 10 other individuals, including eight children, and of possessing the deadly poison ricin and an Al Qaeda manual.
