Man arrested for macheting girlfriend to death over iPhone 11 pro max [See Photos]

Nigeria: A young man who has taken the law into his own hands to punish his girlfriend by ending her life has been arrested by law enforcement personnel.

The young man who happens to be a Nigerian, with the name Godspower Adegheji at age 23 has murdered his girlfriend for mistakenly spoiling his iPhone smart device.

According to sources, the incident occurred at Etevie quarters in Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area of the state on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

The news was made known to the public by Bright Edafe, who is a Delta State public relations officer by taking to his official social media page and sharing a picture of the young man and what he has done.

According to the Delta State public relations officer, the lady who goes by the name Gift Oloku was macheted by her lover, Godspower Adegheji was aged 22, one year younger than her lover.

Gift Oloku per information gathered by Townflex.com was a student of Delta State Polytechnic identified as Ozoro.

It has been revealed in Bright’s statement online that this happened while the two lovers were fighting, having a heated argument as Godspower questioned Gift why went out without telling him.

While the argument/fight between them got heated, Gift mistakenly broke Godpower’s iPhone 11 pro max which triggered him to butcher her.

“This is Godspower Adegheji of Etevie quarters Ozoro, age 23yrs, he killed his girlfriend Gift Oloku ‘f’ aged 22yrs in ozoro using a machete after she mistakenly broke his IPhone 11pro max while they were fighting cos she went out without telling him. He has been arrested,” the officer wrote.

The suspect took the corpse to the State General Hospital on Sunday morning where the victim was confirmed dead

“It happened today (Saturday) at Ozoro. A guy beat his girlfriend to death with machete. People said he was high that he didn’t do it with his clear eyes because he didn’t run away after killing her, instead, he rushed her to a general hospital.

“I just confirmed that the girl is a student of the school, but the guy is not. Maybe he has graduated. The guy must have been on drugs last night It was this morning that the guy regained himself. After seeing what he had done, he rushed the girl to the hospital.” a source revealed.

Well, he has been arrested by the police.
