Markeem Benson, a Nevada man, is facing charges of open murder after allegedly killing his girlfriend, Renise Wolfe, a 33-year-old tattoo artist, in a tragic incident that took place on December 21, 2024.
Authorities report that Wolfe was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds inside an apartment in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
Benson, who is currently in custody, allegedly made a promise to Wolfe’s mother before the deadly incident, saying, “I’ll get her home safe,” according to Tracy Coleman, Wolfe’s mother.
Tragically, that promise was not kept, as Wolfe was found murdered shortly after.

Wolfe was known for her love of art and passion for tattooing. She had spent 15 years building a successful career as a tattoo artist, earning a strong reputation in the community.
A GoFundMe campaign established by a friend of Wolfe’s has raised over $10,000 to assist with memorial service costs.
Benson, who has been denied bail, is facing charges including open murder and possession of a firearm.
During a court appearance on December 26, 2024, tensions escalated when a fight reportedly broke out between Wolfe’s family and Benson’s relatives, leading to further distress for those involved.
The investigation is ongoing, and Benson’s trial will continue as the community mourns Wolfe’s tragic death.
