Man Utd stars and other stars pay touching tributes to Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina after their loss

Earlier on Monday Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez (28) heartbreakingly revealed that his baby son had passed away.

A statement from the couple who announced in October 2021 that they were expecting twins has confirmed the death of their baby boy but said their baby girl had survived.

A heartbreaking statement read: “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel“.

The Red Devils replied on Twitter saying: “Your pain is our pain, @Cristiano. Sending love and strength to you and the family at this time“.

The Portuguese superstar received a lot of touching tributes from his teammates and other stars across the world.

Marcus Rashford wrote after United’s official Instagram account commenting: “Your pain is our pain. “Thoughts are with you and Georgina brother. I am so sorry,” the likes of David De Gea, Diogo Dalot, Alex Telles and other stars also sent messages of love and support after the tragic news broke.

Juventus star Alvaro Morata, former Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo and former Barcelona star Kevin-Prince Boateng offered their kind words as well as TV presenter Piers Morgan and Olympian Yohan Blake.

The couple also described the tragic death of their baby as “the greatest pain that any parents can feel“.

Cristiano’s sister Katia Aveiro penned an emotional letter to her brother after the announcement, referring to their dad, Dinis, who died in 2005.

He passed away from liver failure aged 52 , when Cristiano was only 20.

Katia wrote: “I love you and my heart is with you over there. May God take care of you and strengthen your path more and more“.

Our angel is already on father’s lap. And our little girl is there firm and strong and full of health and is going to show us with every day that only love matters.”

The Portuguese star has asked for prayers and peace during this time as he mourns the loss of his child with.

However, Manchester United is expected to play Liverpool later this evening and chances are Ronaldo will miss the clash.
