Ronald Koeman, the new coach of the Netherlands football team, believes that his second time managing the team will be easier than the first.

Koeman recently returned to the Oranje setup, succeeding Frank de Boer after the World Cup in Qatar.

Koeman’s first stint as the national team coach brought an end to the Netherlands’ absence from international competitions, leading them to qualify for Euro 2020, their first tournament since the 2014 World Cup.

Now, with a second spell in charge, Koeman begins his journey with a daunting test against France as the qualification for Euro 2024 gets underway on Friday at the Stade de France in Paris.

At a press conference, Koeman explained that managing the Netherlands is now easier than it was back then.

He revealed that he has worked with 14 or 15 of the guys on the current squad, including Frenkie de Jong and Steven Bergwijn, during his time at various clubs.

However, there are still new players to work with, and Koeman is excited to get to know them better. He added that he had a lot of contact with his former captain, Virgil van Dijk, after he left the national team, and everything feels familiar.
