Is it legal for Manchester United to terminate CR7’s contract? With new information emerging, the English-based club are considering legal options to sack/terminate Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract.

Manchester United in a newly released statement on their official website on Friday, November 18th, 2022, responded to Ronaldo’s issue with the club as they announced that they have started initiating the appropriate steps in dealing with the issue at hand following Ronaldo’s recent interview.

The club has been taking legal advice from the team’s legal team and lawyers and from all indications, they are on course to legally end things up with CR7 for breaching terms of his contract.

In the statement, United said, they will not be making any further comment in regard to their decisions until the process reaches its conclusion.

“Manchester United has this morning initiated appropriate steps in response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent media interview. We will not be making further comment until this process reaches its conclusion.” the statement read.

Portugal soccer team captain, and Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has been in the news for some days now trending on the internet space making headlines on major websites following his latest interview with  Piers Morgan on TalkTV.

Speaking on TakTV, Ronaldo made explosive allegations against the club, the Glazers, and accused United’s hierarchy of trying to force him out and claimed he had no respect for boss Erik ten Hag, he also claimed the club had ‘betrayed‘.

Ronaldo has about months on his contract left with the club, and when it turns out that his contract gets terminated, he will be suffering a £16million in lost wages, which we are thinking maybe his legal representatives might also be working on some legal approaches to counter United’s move to terminate him.
