Manchester United star Paul Pogba is offering a reward after his house was targeted by burglars on Tuesday night

Barring the fact that Manchester United were knocked out from the UEFA Champions League by Athletico Madrid of Spain, Paul Pogba, a French midfielder who happened to be involved in the game had his house robbed on that same time.

The game which was played at Old Trafford saw Athletico eliminate the Red Devils by a lone goal scored by Lodi to secure a place in the quarterfinals of the tournament.

The Frenchman revealed that his kids where home alone while his wife came to watch him played that night. He wrote:

“Last night our family’s worst nightmare was realized when our home was broken into and burglarized while our babies were sleeping in their bedroom.

“The burglars were in our home for less than five minutes but in that time they took from us something more valuable than anything we had in our home… our sense of safety and security.”

“This occurred during the final minutes of last night’s match when they knew that we would not be home. My wife and I rushed home not knowing if our children were safe and unharmed. As a father there is no feeling worse in this world than not being there to protect your children and I sincerely hope that no one ever has to feel what I felt last night.”

“It is for this reason that I would like to offer a reward for anyone who has a clue to help us. Please send any info to [email protected]

Manchester United reacting to the development said that they are going to review the security of their players and ensure that future occurrences does not happen. Meanwhile, Paul Pogba is not the first United player to be house-robbed; Victor Lindelof is an early-season victim of a house break-in.

However, in his case, the whole family were at home as of the time of the incident – Wife and Children but nobody was hurt. The defender was on duty with Manchester United during a game with Brentford (The Red Devils won by 3-1) when the incident occurred.

The English Club is believed to be working with security agencies to ensure that their players are well secured and prevent further occurrences.
