Mason Mount And Kai Havertz Face A “Huge Chance” Challenge From Thomas Tuchel.

Mason Mount and Kai Havertz have been challenged by Thomas Tuchel to seize a “huge chance” to begin their seasons.

Chelsea strikers Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner are sidelined due to injury, forcing Mount and Havertz to step up to the plate.

Mount has yet to score for club or country this season, while Havertz has only scored once in the Premier League since losing his starting spot.

“It’s a tremendous opportunity for the boys since Romelu and Timo both get a lot of minutes,” Blues coach Tuchel remarked. It’s as easy as that: now is the time to take action.

“This is what they’ve been waiting for; it’s game time; they now have more responsibility than they may have realized before now, and here we go.” They must now present themselves.

“They have our trust and our backing, and now it’s up to them.” It’s a significant opportunity, not a minor one.

We need to find solutions because we have a few injuries, but we will still have a powerful squad on the field that can score and put themselves in a position to win this game.”

Christian Pulisic is still out with an ankle injury, which might open the door for Callum Hudson-Odoi of England, but Tuchel made it plain that the England winger has a long way to go.
