The suspect who allegedly stole US rapper Meek Mill’s phone in Ghana has been granted bail in the amount of GH15,000 with two sureties by an Accra Circuit Court.
The suspect identified by the Police as Nuhu Sule alias Ababaawa was apprehended on Friday, December 30, 2022, at his hideout in Accra after the victim, Meek Mill, reported his phone stolen in Accra on December 29, 2022.
The rapper who was in Ghana in December 2022 to perform at the Afro Nation show took to social media and wrote announcing that his phone has been stolen.
“They pick pocketed me for my phoneeeeeee SMH….Bring that Jawn back if you got it!!” he posed on Instagram story.”
The phone was later found and returned to the rapper by Ghana Police, they also announced that the suspect Nuhu who allegedly stole the iPhone 14 pro max had been arrested and in police custody.
Suspect, Nuhu Sule Granted Bail
Nuhu Sule was served and granted bail after appearing in an Accra Circute Court presided over by Samuel Bright Acquah on charges of stealing.
He was granted a GHS15,000 bail, and also, sureties must be public servants which happen to be part of the bail conditions.
He is to reappear on February 6, 2023.
