A former cameraman who worked with Megan Thee Stallion has filed a lawsuit against the rapper, alleging harassment and various workplace-related issues.

Emilio Garcia served as a cameraman for the rapper from 2018 to 2023. He lodged a complaint in Los Angeles County Superior Court against Megan Thee Stallion, also known as Megan Pete, and her associated companies, Megan Thee Stallion Entertainment, Inc., Hot Girl Touring, LLC, and Roc Nation.

The lawsuit lists nine labor code violations, including claims of harassment and fostering hostile work environments.

Garcia asserts that Stallion engaged in sexual activity in a moving car during a tour in Spain in June 2022, an incident from which he couldn’t extricate himself. He describes feeling embarrassed, mortified, and offended throughout the ordeal. Following the incident, Stallion allegedly questioned Garcia about his presence in the car and instructed him not to discuss what he witnessed.

During the same trip, Garcia alleges that Stallion criticized him for his weight and eating habits, using derogatory language and demanding he spit out his food.

The lawsuit also alleges Garcia was not fairly compensated during his employment, as he was misclassified as an independent contractor, depriving him of healthcare and overtime pay. Additionally, Garcia claims he was regularly denied breaks for rest or meals.

In August 2022, the CEO of Roc Nation altered Garcia’s compensation structure, transitioning him from a $4,000 monthly rate to a pay-per-task system, resulting in significantly lower earnings that did not accurately reflect his time and effort.

Garcia further claims Stallion prohibited him from working for anyone else and mandated that he remain on 24/7 standby while on tour. His contract was terminated in 2023, which he alleges was in retaliation for his complaints about harassment and inadequate payment.

The lawsuit describes Garcia’s struggles with anxiety, depression, and physical distress due to the toxic work environment and unpaid work.

Stallion’s attorney, Alex Spiro, responded to the lawsuit, characterizing it as solely an employment claim for money, without any sexual harassment claims filed. He dismissed the allegations as an attempt to embarrass Stallion and stated that they would address the matter in court.
