Omowunmi’s legal team, Salawu Akingbolu Chambers, recently accused Mr. Aloba of rejecting proposed medical facilities for the test, setting the stage for an escalating legal dispute.

In a letter dated January 9, 2025, Omowunmi’s lawyers revealed that while she had initially objected to using the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, Aloba also rejected her alternative choice of Lagoon Hospitals.

In an effort to find a resolution, Omowunmi proposed other facilities, such as Eko Hospital and Reddington Hospital. However, she claims Aloba failed to respond to these suggestions.

The ongoing legal battle began when the Magistrates Court in Ikorodu, Lagos State, ordered both parties to explore alternative dispute resolution options and agreed on conducting the DNA test at a mutually chosen facility.

Omowunmi expressed frustration at the continuous delays, threatening to proceed with the DNA test independently if the issue is not resolved soon.

In the letter, Omowunmi also refuted claims made by Mr. Taiwo Odumosu, a lawyer representing Aloba, who allegedly implied on social media that she was not ready for the DNA test.

Omowunmi demanded an apology, claiming her reputation had been unfairly tarnished.

Additionally, Omowunmi accused Mohbad’s father of portraying her son, Liam, as a “bastard” on social media, and vowed to bring this matter to the court’s attention.

In response, Aloba’s former legal team, Hillceetee Partners, issued a statement denying the social media allegations.

They clarified that no such claims were made by Mr. Odumosu and assured that their legal approach remained respectful and professional throughout the case. However, they also confirmed that they were withdrawing from representing Aloba.
