Kraig Walter Benson, a Montana man, has been sentenced to 140 years in prison after he was convicted of killing his wife, Jenny Benson, and bartender Logan Gardner in a tragic shooting at a local bar.
The killings occurred on August 27, 2023, at the Four Aces Bar in Superior, Montana, after Kraig allegedly suspected his wife of having an affair with Gardner.
Benson, 49, was sentenced on two counts of deliberate homicide on January 3, 2025.
The sentence includes 60 years for each murder and an additional 10 years for using a weapon in the commission of the crime. Benson will serve his sentence at Montana State Prison.
The events unfolded when Kraig and Jenny were seen together at the bar before he stepped outside for a cigarette.

Surveillance footage later showed him returning, retrieving a gun from his wife’s vehicle, and shooting Jenny in the head.
As Gardner attempted to flee the scene, Kraig shot him multiple times before returning to his wife’s body and shooting her a second time.
Jenny was rushed to the hospital but died from her injuries, while Gardner was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kraig was arrested the next day, after being caught driving his wife’s car on a Missoula County highway. During his trial, Kraig claimed he had no memory of the killings but later expressed remorse.
“I too lost my best friend that night … the love of my life,” he said in a statement before being sentenced.
“Shooting two people in a bar, with witnesses, are not actions with memory, having no memory is no excuse.”
