According to reports, Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic, who currently play for Chelsea, are expected to depart from Stamford Bridge during the upcoming summer transfer window.

It is speculated that Manchester United and Manchester City are capitalizing on their soon-to-expire contracts and are likely to secure the services of Mount and Kovacic, respectively.

As both players are entering the final year of their contracts with Chelsea, it appears probable that they will be leaving the club. Mount’s potential availability has also caught the attention of Liverpool and Arsenal, who have expressed interest in acquiring his services in recent months.

According to a report from The Telegraph, it is now claimed that Mason Mount has reached an agreement on personal terms with Manchester United.

The talented English midfielder is reportedly interested in playing under Erik ten Hag at United.

Although new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino was keen on retaining Mount, no progress was made in negotiations for a contract extension.

As a result, Chelsea’s hierarchy has decided to capitalize on Mount’s market value by selling him instead of risking losing him on a free transfer in a year’s time.

In a similar vein, The Athletic reports that Chelsea has given permission to Manchester City to initiate talks with Mateo Kovacic.

Despite interest from Bayern Munich and other clubs, Kovacic has expressed his desire to join the reigning Premier League champions.

The Chelsea hierarchy has seemingly acquiesced to his wishes, understanding that it is more beneficial to secure a transfer fee for Kovacic now rather than letting him go for free in the future.

Pochettino’s tenure at Chelsea could mark the beginning of a significant midfield overhaul, with Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic potentially just the first departures.

The contract situation of N’Golo Kante remains unresolved, as he is set to become a free agent next month.

Meanwhile, AC Milan is edging closer to securing the signing of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and the future of Conor Gallagher at the club is uncertain.

Additionally, it seems Denis Zakaria’s loan move from Juventus will not be made permanent. However, Enzo Fernandez is confirmed to be staying at the club.

In terms of reinforcements, Sporting Lisbon’s Manuel Ugarte has already been identified as a transfer target for Chelsea, as Pochettino aims to strengthen the midfield.

Furthermore, the manager is also interested in acquiring a new goalkeeper and a striker.

Several other players have been linked with potential exits from Stamford Bridge.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, Kalidou Koulibaly, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Christian Pulisic, Trevoh Chalobah, Hakim Ziyech, and Cesar Azpilicueta have all been mentioned as individuals who could potentially depart the club in the near future.
