my ‘Forever’ song did not make me famous – Gyakie

Ghanaian songstress, Jackie Acheampong, well-known in showbiz as Gyakie has revealed that she is not famous today because of her hit song “Forever”.

Gyakie made this known in an interview with Cookie Tee on 3FM’s Urban Blend, as she was in to unveil songs on her debut EP, dubbed “Seed.

The Seed EP is made up of five songs which also includes her chart-topping Forever” song which took her to places.

According to her, she does not think the fame she is enjoying currently should be attributed to the “Forever” song, adding that all the songs of the SEED EP are winners which includes Forever single.

“I believe that I make all my songs with such passion, and so all are equally good just as Forever.” – she said.

She again stated that her music started off on a good note, but she would not say the ‘Forever’ banger made her blow but instead she will say the hit song rather gained her a bigger market.
“Forever did not make me popular but rather it gained me a bigger market in many countries.” – she stressed.

The record has traveled to over 20 countries and has given her the platform on reputable music platforms. The recent billboard feature at Times Square in New York and other partnership with Spotify has really elevated the singer, pushing her much further.

Gyakie with due to the same hit song managed to earn an international record deal with Sony Music, RCA Records UK, and Sony Music Africa, as well as, traveled across more than 20 countries with over one million streams on music platforms like Spotify.
