Nana Urges South Korea to Foster Trade with Africa

For their mutual advantage, South Korea has been asked by President Nana Akufo-Addo to foster trade, investment, and innovation with African nations. 

He claims that the vast resources and young population of Africa, along with the technological innovations of South Korea, present unmatched prospects for economic cooperation. 

Speaking during the Korea-Africa Summit in Seoul in 2024, the President stated, “Together, we can foster trade, investment, and innovation for mutual benefit.

The event, which had as its theme “The Future We Make Together: Shared Growth, Sustainability, and Solidarity,” he said, was a potent call to action. 

President Akufo-Addo discussed sustainability and stated that immediate action is needed to address the global climate catastrophe. “We can build climate-resilient infrastructure and transition to low-carbon economies by leveraging Korea’s leadership in green technology,” he said. 

He asserted that in the solidarity department, Africa and Korea’s resilience is dependent on each other because the world is interconnected. 

The collaboration between Africa and Korea must defend democracy, human rights, and good governance, from addressing global health problems to fostering peace, security, and social justice. 

Let us take use of this opportunity to enhance our cooperation, fortify our relationships, and create a more promising and prosperous future for everyone. He exhorted, “Together, we can leave a legacy of advancement and prosperity for future generations.
