Gangsta Boo: New Information About Rapper’s Death Emerges

New information comes forth in regards to the death of American rapper, and a former member of Three 6 Mafia group, Gangsta Boo.

The rapper who was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee just as Townflex reported earlier died on the first day on 2023, (Sunday, January 1 2023) aged 43.

The news of her death surfaced on the internet space following a post made by her labelmate, DJ Paul K.O.M. who is also a founding member of Three 6 Mafia confirming the sad news by sharing a photo of the rapper with a caption on Instagram.

The real reasons or cause of death is yet to be identified as we will be fed with information after the Memphis Police Department conducts an autopsy, earlier TMZ through some sources claimed that the rapper’s death may have been drug-related.

But on Monday afternoon the police released a statement via twitter and added that “The investigation is ongoing and results of her autopsy are pending, but there were no immediate signs of foul play.”

New Information About Gangsta Boo Death Emerges

The former member of Three 6 Mafia group’s death has been described as unexpected by many, Townflex Entertainment News has discovered new details concerning her death.

In a newly aired interview with WREG Memphis, loved ones said the rapper didn’t die “as a result of foul play,” and Boo’s close friend Delmar Lawrence said she had so many plans in the works for 2023.

“She loved what she wanted to do, she had so many plans, so many dreams about what she wanted to do for 2023. I mean she told me about ’em 3 days ago,” Lawrence told the outlet, adding that the pioneering Memphis rapper had become depressed right before her death.

“She lost her father and that was a very big blow for her,” Lawrence continued. “She was a daddy’s girl and it was many nights I prayed with her and just talked her through her grief. So I’m glad to know she’s at peace.”

He added, “The world only knew her gift. They didn’t know her heart, and she had the biggest heart and loved very hard, and her friends and family who know her they know that…”

Born with her legal name, Lola Chantrelle Mitchell, Gangsta Boo was the second female member of the Memphis-based hip hop group Three 6 Mafia.

Gangsta Boo was featured on Three 6 Mafia’s debut album “Mystic Stylez” in 1993 and became the second female member to join the group following K-9. She would continue with the group with 1996’s “Chapter 1: The End” and 1997’s “Chapter 2: World Domination.”

Mitchell, who had previously been a member of Three 6 Mafia, departed the group in the early 2000s to release a second solo album and a number of mixtapes. She appeared on songs by well-known rappers including The Game, OutKast, Gucci Mane, and others.

The Queen of Memphis has more recently started collaborating with music platforms like Uproxx to release new music and performances. She collaborated with the magazine to release a video of her live rendition of “I’m Fresh” at the beginning of December.
