Nigeria: NFF sacks entire Super Eagles technical crew [Details]

Information reaching Townflex now has it that the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) has sacked the entire technical crew of the Super Eagles following the failure to secure the senior national team a qualify for the upcoming Qatar 2022 World Cup.

The Nigerian football association has however announced that they will be selecting a new set of coaches for the Super Eagles team in days to come.

This new information came to light as the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) was confirming the resignation of one of the association’s technical managers, Augustine Eguavoen earlier on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

This is due to the Nigeria National Team, Suer Eagles’ poor performance in the world qualifiers game between the Black Stars of Ghana leading to their defeat and failure to qualify on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, Nigeria.

According to a press statement released by NEF signed by its Secretary-General, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, the NEF has in the meantime withdrawn the two-and-half years’ contract with the coaches and the technical teams as well.

The Statement reads;

“The NFF has in the meantime withdrawn the two-and-half years contract offered the coaches and terminated the appointment of the entire technical crew of the team with immediate effect.

“A new crew will be announced after a proper review to lead the new charge of reinvigorating the Super Eagles to face future challenges appropriately.”

“We thank the coaches and team officials for their service to the nation and wish them success in their future endeavours,” NFF General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi was quoted as saying in the statement”.
