It is seen in a new video making rounds all over facebook on how some Nigerians nationals attack Ghana Immigration (GI) officers at Kasoa in the Central Region.

The Ghana Immigration Service is an agency which regulates examination and authorization of application for visas, entry and residence permits in Ghana.

According to information gathered by Townflex.com the officers were on duty and had gone to check on the residence permit of the Nigerians.

You could see from the video that the immigration personel struggled very hard to move their vehicle away from the scene but it was heavily blocked with objects (road using wood, pieces of blocks).

Some of these Nigerian attackers were heard shouting “wetin, nobody dey move. Here na border?”.

Looking at what transpired in the piece of video our Nigerian cousins took it too far and as we all know it’s always a bad idea to attack an officer of the law, this incident must be investigated.

Superintendent Michael Amoako-Atta who happens to be the Spokesperson of the Ghana Immigration Service said “they (the officers) were going on normal operation to check on foreign nationals who don’t have legal stay and they met these Nigerians who were trying to resist.” – he revealed to Graphic Online.
