Nothing can separate Nigeria. Not ethnicity, region or class – Osinbajo

The Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo has said that irrespective of the situation, nothing can separate Nigerians. The amiable politician made the statement on 8th January at the palace of Umar Farouk, Emir of Katagum.

However, the VP visited the palace after having attended the wedding ceremony of the daughter of his fellow political ally in person of Adamu Adamu who is currently serving as the minister of Education and the event took place in Bauchi State.

The VP encouraged Nigerians to be hopeful and be assured that nothing can lead to the splitting of the country; not even religion, ethnicity, and demographic lines.

Moreover, Professor Osinbajo made the statement through his representative, Laolu Akande who in a statement passed the message to Nigerians.

Laolu Akande through the Vice President said that Nigeria is a truly united country that will not separate despite the conflicts and misunderstandings. The VP further affirmed that no class or religion or ethnic group can cause the nation to separate.

Here is the statement:

“This is one occasion where you will find that our country is truly a united country and that nothing can separate this country, not ethnicity or religion or class.”

“There is nothing that can separate this country. In fact, this is excellent evidence of the fact that this country is united.”

On his visit to the Palace of the Emir of Katagum, the active Vice President lauded the royal highness for his role in the development of the resident community. The VP also expressed gratitude to the Emir of Katagum over his benevolence in welcoming individuals from different parts of Nigeria.

The Vice President made the statement which says:

“Katagum Emirate is a place where your royal highness has continuously demonstrated the willingness to accommodate people from all parts of the country.”

Nonetheless, at the wedding of the daughter of the minister of education, the working VP also acknowledged Adamu’s zeal in fostering the peace and development in the country.

The famous politician further added that politics and leadership should be like a personal relationship which brings people together.

In the statement he said:

“Every one of us is here because of our personal relationship with you, this is the way leadership should be.”

 Do note that Prof. Yemi Osinbajo is one of the favourites candidates to become the flag bearer of APC in the upcoming 2023 election.
