Ghanaian actress, Efia Odo has revealed in a recent interview that she sees nothing wrong with a woman sleeping around for money since she sometimes sees it as a means of survival.
This made this known in a one-on-one chat with BBC Pidgin when asked what she has to say about women in the industry having to sexchange sexx for roles.
In responding to the question, Efia Odo confirmed that, it is true and that some of the actresses do sleep with big men in the movie industry for roles as well as politicians for money.
“Some of them sleep around. Even if they sleep with politicians and men for money, how does that concern you? Or anybody? We are all trying to eat and survive.” – she said.
Speaking further, Efia says she does not see anything really wrong about that likes how others outside are making it seem.
According to her, she is not into that act herself but she understands how it works, the ladies/actress who get involved in such acts only do that as a means of survival. and that is because there are no better job opportunities and even with the one that is available they come with a lower payment which isn’t helping.
She again said that it shouldn’t be the business of anyone if someone chooses to uses what they have, which is their body, to get what they need (Money). it is just a means of survival.
The actress also stated during the interview that a lot of people thinks she always dresses to impress, thus showing her body just to get the attention of men but that’s not the case, adding that that is how she is, she just has a natural and nice body which she just likes to show off but not to seek the attention of men.
According to Efia, she does not pay attention to the outside world because in this life a lot of people are very judgemental in whatever you do there will be a talk about it, “I don’t care what people say about me, I only do what I feel makes me happy” she added.
Efia Odo spoke about her relationship (love life), and the kind of friendship she has with Ghanaian dancehall recording star, Shatta Wale and also jumped into his defense following the rumors that he has been suffering from a Kidney Failure problem.
