Reactions to an old video that surfaced again have inflamed social media following the sudden loss of Ghanaian gospel artist KODA.
In the video, KODA describes a terrifying experience that occurred in or around 2016, when a Takoradi hospital gave him medication that wasn’t appropriate for his condition. Even though KODA made his health status public, he was taking sulphur-based medication without realising it for about eight months. He stressed that this was detrimental to his health as a patient with G6PD.
“I noticed that one major element I was given to take was a sulphur-based medication and immediately I told myself that but I know that I have a medical condition called G6PD,” KODA said in reflection on the incident. He stated.
A video of the late Kofi Owusu Dua Anto, popularly known as KODA, where he was recounting how he was put on wrong medication for over six months and upon realizing it, all that the medical personnel could offer was an ineffectual apology.
