His daughter Nayaab Udhas shared that he breathed his last at the age of 72 on Monday, February 26th, 2024, following a prolonged illness due to cancer.

“With a heavy heart, we are saddened to inform you of the sad demise of Padmashri Pankaj Udhas on 26th February 2024 due to a prolonged illness,” the announcement read.

According to reports from family sources, Pankaj Udhas breathed his last at a Mumbai hospital around 11 am. The final rites are scheduled to take place on Tuesday.
